Young Survival Coalition (YSC) is the premier global organization dedicated to the critical issues unique to young women who are diagnosed with breast cancer. YSC offers resources, connections and outreach so women feel supported, empowered and hopeful.
YSC grew out of the experiences of three young women facing many of the same challenges as you. Our founders, all diagnosed with breast cancer before age 35, saw the need for better information, support and research for young women facing this disease. Exemplifying the conviction that still characterizes our constituents, they went ahead and did something about it, creating YSC in 1998.
To accompany Breast Cancer Legacy, the Young Survival Coalition (YSC) has created this fact sheet on hereditary breast cancer in conjunction with FORCE, Facing Our Risk of Cancer Empowered, a non-profit organization focused on education of risk and family history of breast cancer. The film and fact sheet together will help inform young woman diagnosed with breast cancer, as well as family members who may be concerned about their risk of the disease and genetic councilors.

Hosting a screening of Breast Cancer Legacy, followed by a panel discussion with local breast cancer survivors, doctors or advocates, is a great way to increase awareness of the issue in your community. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com for more information on how to do this or order a DVD here.
